💡 Tips & Variations

  • Dairy-Free Option: Substitute butter with coconut oil or a dairy-free margarine.
  • Vegan Version: Replace honey with maple syrup or rice malt syrup.
  • Add-Ins: Incorporate sultanas, chopped nuts, or sprinkle with gluten-free colored sprinkles for a festive touch.

❄️ Storage Tips

  • Room Temperature: Store in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
  • Refrigeration: For a firmer texture, refrigerate in an airtight container.
  • Freezing: Not recommended, as the cornflakes may become soggy upon thawing.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use regular cornflakes?
Regular cornflakes often contain malt extract, which is not gluten-free. Ensure you use certified gluten-free cornflakes to keep the recipe suitable for those with gluten sensitivities.

Why did my Honey Joys fall apart?
This can happen if the sugar wasn’t fully dissolved, the mixture wasn’t combined thoroughly, or they were moved before fully cooling and setting.

Can I make these in advance?
Absolutely! Honey Joys can be made a day ahead and stored as mentioned above.
