Kid Friendly Guacamole – Easy, 4 Ingredient Fresh Guacamole

This 4 ingredient homemade Guacamole is quick, tasty and very versatile. It can be ‘spiced up’ or left ‘as is’ to make the perfect kid-friendly guacamole in no time at all.

4-Ingredient Guacamole Recipe

I love guacamole with all the ‘extras’ – the chilli, pepper flakes, onion, garlic, etc. However, if I’m not sure of the ‘audience’s’ appetite for texture and flavour, then this easy 4 ingredient recipe is my go-to for guacamole in a hurry.

You can leave it fairly ‘chunky’, or can completely obliterate it for those who like a smoother texture. Either way, you’re still serving up a delicious, and healthy guacamole that can be used in a variety of yummy ways!

This guacamole is perfect for:

  • Chips and dip – either store bought corn chips, or homemade tortilla chips make a delicious snack.
  • Taco Tuesday, or any Mexican meal night – guacamole can be added to tacos, enchiladas, burrito bowls, or even just as a side dish.
  • Inside wraps – guacamole is perfect with shredded chicken wraps, or salad wraps for lunch or dinners.
  • On toast – just like ‘smashed avocado toast’, this guacamole is delicious on toast too.
  • Breakfast eggs – whether you like scrambled eggs, or Spanish eggs, a side of guacamole really lifts a breakfast egg dish too.

4 Ingredient Guacamole

Here is what you’ll need:

  • Avocados, ripe and soft.
  • Tomatoes, any type with do.
  • Lime juice – not only adds flavour, but it helps to stop the avocado from browning too.
  • Salt (and pepper) to taste.

See below recipe notes for extras to may want to add, however the above is designed to be a ‘kid-friendly’ guacamole and will have a milder taste to fussier palates.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Cut the avocados, remove the pit, and scrape the flesh into a medium sized bowl. Squeeze the lime juice immediately onto the avocado (this helps to prevent browning).

Step 2: Mash the avocado flesh with a fork, until desired consistency. Add in the salt and diced tomato, and mash all together. All done!

Step 3: Either serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until required.

Notes

  • There are many additions that can be made to ‘upgrade’ this guacamole based on taste, texture and required use. For example, you may want to add:
    • pepper,
    • red chilli,
    • red pepper flakes,
    • garlic,
    • lemon juice.
